Terms of Use

By posting or commenting you agree to the following:

You may not submit any content that is obscene, defamatory, harassing, threatening, pornographic, illegal, or would violate the rights of others, or that otherwise violates the User Conduct section of the Terms.

The Center for Financial Privacy and Human Rights ("CFPHR") reserves the right to edit or remove any content that it considers inappropriate, illegal, offensive or otherwise objectionable, in its sole discretion. CFPHR, however, assumes no responsibility for monitoring the Web Site for inappropriate content or conduct. If at any time CFPHR chooses, in its sole discretion, to monitor the Web Site, CFPHR will assume no responsibility for the content on the Web Site, no obligation to modify or remove any inappropriate or otherwise objectionable content on the Web Site, and no responsibility for the conduct of any user submitting such content.

We may also remove your content for any reason and without notice to you. This includes all materials related to your use of the Web Site, including comments, postings, profiles or other personalized information you may have created while using the Web Site.

You must abide by the IRS rules for 501c3 organizations. Specifically, you may not attempt to influence legislation nor participate in any campaign activity for or against political candidates. You may discuss ideas and reference legislation or candidates, but any writing must stick to "issue advocacy" only (e.g., never say that you support or oppose, or urge others to do so -- "vote for" or "vote against" -- any candidate or legislation).

You agree to indemnify and hold the Liberty and Privacy Network ("LPN") and CFPHR, its subsidiaries, affiliated projects, officers, directors, predecessors, successors interest, agents, employees, partners and licensors, harmless from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense, including reasonable attorneys fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of: 1) any content you submit, post, transmit or otherwise make available through the Web Site; 2) your access or use of the Web Site; 3) your violation of these Terms of Use; or 4) your violation of any rights of a third party.

It is our policy to respond to notices of alleged infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
